Brenda Rundback
Brenda (production manager, lighting director), began in the production industry in 1987 when she started working with David Priest. Having an education in office management, a passion for logistics, and an interest in the creative world, production has provided a career using it all – from the details of painting a scene with light and shadows to seeking the right setting and looks in the scene. Plus having the opportunities to learn about a slew of topics! And, nothing is better for her than being part of a story that can make the world a better place, even if for just one person.
FULLY ENGAGING…
David and Brenda formed Shadow Play Films in 1993 with the initial focus on independent feature films. Over the years, they’ve been principals on productions ranging from short films to documentaries to corporate messaging of all kinds.
Common sense, resourcefulness and being observant are among the necessary tools of production Brenda learned growing up on the family ranch.

DAVID PRIEST
Soon after David Priest (director, camera, editor) began his career in the 1980’s, he became a key player on hundreds of productions ranging from short films to documentaries to corporate messaging. Keeping on top of quality storytelling and messaging is equal to his attention of using appropriate technology for each project.
His passion for film history began as a young child growing into an extensive knowledge of filmmaking and its evolution. This passion has not wavered and he shares this knowledge with other film enthusiasts through presentations as well as being a mentor.
ONLY ONE THING…
In 1993, David and Brenda formed Shadow Play Film which has provided them opportunities for exercising creativity and ingenuity, learning about a vast array of topics and national and international travel.
Since his school days, David has known only one career — working full time in the production industry. It goes without saying that David receives much enjoyment from this career.
“For over 30 years, I have directed, shot and edited a vast variety of videos and films, both short and long. Constantly refining storytelling techniques as well as keeping on top of technology while being a life-long connoisseur of classic films (Grades A-Z) keeps me moving. Other quirky interests include photography, guitars, very fast cars and modern design of many eras.” - David
