HOW WE WORK
Though we are based in Loveland, Colorado, our studio is everywhere.
We shoot and produce videos, broadcast documentaries,
music videos and scripted films in factories, on international locations, at historical properties, in caves, on mountains, in barns, even on sets in studios
- just about anywhere you can imagine.
100+ hours of national Broadcast television
Award-winning features and short films
more than 1500 short videos (we've lost count)
Yeah, we've been at this quite awhile and along the way we've found
three keys to consistently making quality videos -
- CAPTURING CHARACTER -
- CREATING ENGAGEMENT -
- MAKING IT EASY ON OUR CLIENTS -
CAPTURING CHARACTER (a.k.a. authenticity)
When photography was new, some believed the magic box with a lens could capture your soul. They weren’t entirely wrong.
An audience responds to the truth of a subject’s personality and character — whether it's a person, a company or a brand. If a person is sincere and genuine they will give a great interview. If they're not comfortable in their own skin, even the best interviewer will fail to overcome that sense of uneasiness. If a company truly believes in its mission and purpose that will reach through the lens to the audience.
In all our work we strive to capture and present the best character of our subjects. You’ve met people who love what they do and who live for the passions they have. You've seen companies who are out to change the world and care for others in meaningful and inspiring ways. And you've experienced brands that are built on trust and innovation. We find ways to put all that on the screen, to make you feel like you have spent time with these people and companies and now know what makes them tick. Capturing character creates an emotional connection.
CREATING ENGAGEMENT
What good is a video no one watches all the way through? Creating engagement can be elusive — and it certainly isn’t created solely by a great writer or good talent or a big budget or a nice camera.
Creating engagement begins with listening to our clients and understanding their audience. Who is this audience and how do they connect to you?
We do know people connect to stories — stories of problems solved, goals achieved and lives made better. Most importantly, when emotions are invoked, lasting impressions are created.
Engagement also means nothing if what the audience sees or hears distracts them from the message.Information comes in a logical way and at a reasonable pace. Quality editing is key. Topics aren't belabored and rabbit trails are kept to a minimum. There are no focus problems, no sound glitches and nothing in the background that's distracting. Before they know it, your audience has arrived at your final point ready to take action. That's engagement.
MAKING IT EASY FOR OUR CLIENTS
We know you have many things to do and becoming an expert in video production is probably not high on your list. As one of our clients you can have as much or as little involvement in the production process as you have time and interest. Once you feel comfortable that we have a clear and thorough understanding of your vision, you are free to tend to other tasks and wait for us to submit the first version of a program.
And don't worry, we'll be close on that first version. In fact, over 90% of our projects quickly finish at version 2. And most of the time, version 2 represents less than a 10% change from version 1. We're proud of that and we approach each project as an opportunity to use our experience to make the process easy and the final video exceed your expectations.
